In the past period, I worked at a customer (pressure equipment manufacturer) on the preparations for the recertification of PED 2014/68/EU Annex I 4.3, AD 2000 HP 0 and ISO 3834-2.
Today the audit of the certifying body was scheduled to be carried out by TUV Nord. Based on the good preparation for the audit within the organization and the fact that during the audit we were able to show objective evidence as a fulfillment of the requirements, the audit was concluded with acceptable results, without any shortcoming.
This equipment manufacturer has been certified again for another three years and has once again demonstrated that it is aware of the German design code AD 2000 for the design and manufacture of pressure equipment. During the audit, the QMS was also critically audited for compliance with ISO 3834-2 and, in combination, the implementation of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU.
